Indian actor Mahesh Anand found dead

Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand, 57, has been found dead at his Mumbai residence, Indian media reported. According to Times of India quoted police, the body of Indian villain of 1980s and 1990s was found in his Andheri flat on Saturday morning. The TV was still on, food plate and alcohol was near the actor’s body. The initial investigations by the police and circumstantial evidence suggest that the actor died in a very tragic and lonely way.a post-mortem report conducted by the doctors suggested that the actor died naturally and ruled out any foul play. However, they have preserved viscera samples to investigate the exact cause of death.

He lived alone in his flat at Kinara apartments, Versova. A police officer said, “On Saturday when the maid reached the flat, she did not get any response and kept ringing the bell. After getting no response, the Versova police was informed, with the help of the fire brigade, they opened the door and found him dead. The cops also said that the actor’s wife, who stays in Russia, is likely to come on Monday and perform Anand’s final rites. Several of his fans took to social media to remember different roles played by the actor in 80s and 90s. A popular actor in the late 1980s and 1990s, known for his tall and tough body frame, he was usually seen as the main henchman of the villains in several films, but was facing huge financial constraints for many years.

Anand acted with top actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, in major films like Ganga JamunaSaraswati and Shahenshah (1988), Majboor (1989), Thanedaar (1990), BetaajBadshah (1994), Coolie No 1 (1995), Vijeta (1996), Lal Badshah, AayaToofan (1999), Baaghi and Kurukshetra (2000),PyaarKiyaNahinJaata (2003). After a long gap of over 15 years, he was recently seen in PahlajNihalani’sRangeelaRajaa with Govinda, which released in January this year.

Usha (mahesh’s ex-wife) parted ways in 2002, their marital bliss (if you want to call that) completed just 2 years. She said “I came to know about Mahesh’s demise only through media. It’s very sad that he is no more. May his soul rest in peace.” Usha added that they were not in touch after she walked out on him. “That was 17 years ago. And yes, I was not in touch with him at all after I left him, not even with his family.”
